Moringa

Moringa, or nature's "miracle tree" has traditionally been used to supplement the necessary minerals, vitamins and protein in pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Moringa is widely cultivated all over the world where its young seed pods and leaves are used as vegetables, and mothers have used it for generations to support healthy lactation. Moringa delivers anti-inflammatory support, promotes healthy digestion and increased energy, and helps to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and circulation.

Fennel seed

Women have been using fennel to promote breastmilk production for centuries. Fennel, a known galactagogue, is believed to have natural estrogen-like properties and some small studies suggest that fennel may increase levels of prolactin, the main hormone responsible for stimulating milk production.

Fenugreek seed

"A 2018 review of studies Trusted Source of 122 mothers who took fenugreek showed that the herb really did increase — significantly increased, in the words of analysts — the amount of milk they produced. And a 2018 study Trusted Source compared 25 mothers who took a super-mix of fenugreek, ginger, and turmeric with 25 mothers who took a placebo."

Best results are seen with consistent and regular use. We recommend drinking the Lactation Tea daily for at least two weeks prior to seeing an impact to your milk supply (or 2 cups daily for 10 days).

Our herbalists chose to use fenugreek in our Lactation Tea due to its long history of use with breastfeeding mothers and evidence that supports fenugreek as an effective galactagogue (an herb that promotes milk supply) for most mothers.

Yes, our Lactation Tea along with the rest of our products are gluten free.

Our mesh filters are made of 100% non-GMO sugar cane, and are certified biodegradable and compostable. This enables our tea to be 100% organic and avoid use of plastic on anything that will be coming in contact with the hot water.

We recommend not to use Lactation Tea during pregnancy. All of our products are tested and approved for safety while breastfeeding, however we have not completed testing to ensure safety during pregnancy. While all of our ingredients are clean and non-toxic, we use several herbs in our teas that are not recommended for pregnant women.
