Our herbalist-formulated blend of 100% organic herbs includes chamomile and lemon balm to promote relaxation and nettle leaf to deliver key nutrients that are often depleted in women after childbirth.

Chamomile

As one of the oldest traditional healing supplements, Chamomile has been used by women in the postpartum period for centuries. Its calming and soothing effects have also been linked to helping with inflammation, muscle spasms, wounds, gastrointestinal disorders, and hemorrhoids.

Lemon Balm

This herb has been used since the middle ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion. Lemon balm has been shown to significantly increase calmness and alertness in clinical studies.

Nettle leaf

A favorite among midwives and herbalists for use with pregnant and new mothers, nettle leaf offers nutritive benefits that support organ and hormone function with essential micro-nutrients, minerals and vitamins that contribute to the nervous system’s overall function and ability to regulate. In our blend, nettle works with the other ingredients to support a reduction in anxiety, soothing and calm.

We work with a family-owned tea blender in Highland, New York to produce our 100% organic blends, who makes it their mission to develop deep source connections and personal relationships with artisan tea growers and single-family estates throughout the world that use only organic sustainable agricultural practices.

Sustainability

Our teabags are made from certified biodegradable mesh that comes from sugar cane. Our tea pouches are made with recyclable plastic. Our shipper box was designed purposefully for minimal waste. We will continue to make it a priority to find ways to reduce our ecological footprint when it comes to our packaging, supply chain and manufacturing processes.

Necessary Part of Routine

I’m a second time mom but naturally an anxious person. This tea has become an essential part of my night time routine. It helps me wind down for the night and to not feel so overwhelmed with a newborn and a toddler. It makes my night time routine feel luxurious, I like to pair it with honey and lemon and it tastes delicious. I also that the tea bags are not made with plastic so I can feel good about what’s going into my body

Our mesh filters are made of 100% non-GMO sugar cane, and are certified biodegradable and compostable. This enables our tea to be 100% organic and avoid use of plastic on anything that will be coming in contact with the hot water.

We recommend not to use Calming Tea during pregnancy. All of our products are tested and approved for safety while breastfeeding, however we have not completed testing to ensure safety during pregnancy. While all of our ingredients are clean and non-toxic, we use several herbs in our teas that are not recommended for pregnant women.
